Spirituality and management

I am a member of the management committee for Spirituality, Leadership and Management Inc (SLaM Inc).

The organisation is a forum for the exploration and expression of ideas about spirit in business and organisational life. It is committed to enabling people and organisations to function with integrity, creativity and care, so that our emerging world is a desirable place to be. It does not subscribe to, or promote any particular belief system. It embraces a very broad notion of spirituality that includes conscious living, a sense of meaning, celebration of life and the possibility of personal transformation.

The I Ching

Since writing my novel, The Ten Thousand Things, I have become more public about the value of the I Ching as a guide and source of wisdom, just as much applicable to people in their work lives as in their personal lives. It puts our actions and our motivations into the framework of a universal, cosmic perspective and allows us to see the innder dynamics of situations.
